Who We Seek
Hispanic Federation seeks an Operations and Finance Coordinator to support the operations of the Charlotte, NC office and its programs. The Coordinator will provide administrative support to program staff and manage day to day operations from office administration by keeping updated copies of all safety plans, tracking office expenses and reporting, and supporting in basic bookkeeping. Additionally, the Coordinator will manage all office records and support in contract and grant reporting as requested.
The successful candidate is detail-oriented, a self-starter, and able to accurately complete a diverse range of administrative and bookkeeping tasks. This position reports to, and works closely with, the Director for North Carolina and Midsouth Operations. The position is hybrid and will require at least half time presence onsite.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate day to day business tasks to ensure efficient work and office environment.
- Liaise with program constituent agencies – supporting the execution of program deliverables and tracking progress of grant participants with program leads.
- Support HF programming in North Carolina; manage all records for the office as it relates to grant deliverables and programming.
- Oversee office and programmatic budgets in compliance and up to date and preparing reports for submission with HF HQ staff, track expenses and ensure they are properly allocated.
- Ensure financial protocols are followed and all submissions are properly filed in accordance to finance processes and as needed by the funder or foundations.
- Support the compiling of materials as required for all audits, both internal and external, and ensure all documents, files, and submissions are easily accessible for review.
- Support the operations of the Charlotte Office and participate in programs, as necessary.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience with office or program management, an asset. At least one (1) year of supporting in bookkeeping preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with numbers, accounting or budgeting.
- Previous experience to budgets and finance management is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a flexible and collaborative spirit.
- Strong understanding of Latino and social justice issues and a commitment to Hispanic Federation's mission and core values.
- Experience with grants management and contracting is an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to speak another language is an asset.
Benefits and Salary
The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $45,000 and is commensurate with experience. Compensation comes with a robust benefits package with a fully paid medical, dental, vision insurance accessible upon hire, 403(B) retirement plans with a organizational match after 6 months, and access to flexible spending and pre-tax commuter benefits.
First year employees of the Hispanic Federation receive a PTO package with 15 days designated for vacation, 4 Personal Days, and 8 Sick Days annually.
