Who We Seek

Hispanic Federation is seeking a Voter Engagement Canvasser to support community outreach via door knocking, community events, and phone banking. The Voter Engagement Canvasser will work closely with the Hispanic Federation Team to create meaningful impact in community outreach, addressing disparities in access to services for specific, underserved communities

 

Position Location:  New York City

Reports to:     CE Program Coordinator

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

                    Assist individuals in completing voter registration forms in English and Spanish, ensuring forms are completed correctly.

                    Support our in-person voter registration work in key locations as part of outreach efforts.

                    Attend meetings and trainings regarding voter registration work and best practices.

                    Communicate with HF’s civic engagement team to discuss all progress and problems in carrying out duties.

                    Carry-out any other duties needed to support Hispanic Federation’s civic engagement work.

                    Adhere to all nonpartisan guidelines, abiding by IRC 501(c)(3) regulations; and federal, state, and local laws and all local election regulations while executing operations under this Agreement.
