Project Overview
Hispanic Federation invites qualified project managers with a focus on supporting design and construction projects to submit proposals for its space renovation and revitalization. HF’s capital project is funded by generous support from public sector agencies and aims to update its space to better serve HF's community and support the work of its program and administrative teams. The goal is to create a space that is comfortable and welcoming for community members receiving services while serving as a functional office space for the HF staff. The HF’s New York City office serves as its national headquarters and is located in the Financial District.
HF’s owns offices located at 55 Exchange Place, a condominium of nonprofits nested inside 15 Broad Street. The project consists of a full renovation of HF’s current space.
The project will include the following areas of focus:
- Pre-Construction and Planning
- Meet senior leadership to determine vision and scope.
- Connect with HF’s various teams to identify needs for programs and community engagement.
- Survey of office space and evaluation of the current site.
- Prepare and identify firms and consultants for interviews, including architecture services, construction and general contracting, design, lighting, and other needs.
- Securing all required permits and approvals.
- Demolition and Construction
- Oversight of onsite work and liaise with HF, building management, condo co-owners, and all relevant partners.
- Completion of work which may include HVAC, electrical and wiring, plumbing, ceiling, flooring along with demolition.
- Close Out and Turnover
This project is subject to all applicable requirements for New York State funded and New York City funded construction projects, including securing the services of MWBE and Veteran owned businesses with appropriate certifications. The ideal project manager will have experience working with public sector funds and ensure that HF is meeting all its stated deliverables and reporting and tracking its milestones accurately. The project manager will draft all reports and ensure deadlines for reports are met to all stakeholders.
This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and works closely with the Chief Finance Officer and Finance.
Total Allocated Funding: $3,690,000.00
Work Completion Requested: July 1, 2026
The selected contractor will:
- Coordinate between Hispanic Federation, its vendors, and all relevant parties including city agencies and building partners.
- Complete all site visits as necessary, coordinating all required visits for HF leadership, vendors and relevant parties.
- Guide Leadership and HF program leads through the process to ensure timely completion of work as forecasted.
- Secure necessary permits and inspections
- Ensure compliance with all state and municipal codes
- Track subcontractor participation and submit required documentation as required by State and City contracts
- Deliver the project within budget and on schedule

All interested contractors must submit the following materials:
- Cover letter summarizing interest and qualifications
- Resume or bios for all project leads and relevant team members
- A detailed proposal outlining approach to the work, noting assumptions made and outlining actions for Hispanic Federation.
- A comprehensive prospective project budget, including labor, materials, and contingencies
- A general timeline for work, including key milestones
- A statement confirming ability to complete the project by July 1, 2026
- MWBE certification or subcontracting plan
- Three references from similar projects
Final proposals will be due by November 20, 2025. Site visits may be scheduled with submission of a draft proposal and request a site visit to HF’s HQ.
