The Company: Next Gen Neuro is a Veteran and Women-owned nationwide EEG/brainwave service provider. We are looking to hire and train Neurodiagnostic Assistants (NDA) to join our team in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

The Position: We are looking for 2 per-diem healthcare professionals and/or allied health students with experience in the patient care setting. The role of a Next Gen Neuro NDA is to set up brainwave tests (EEG) on patients of all ages (including infants), fix EEG electrodes as needed, and discontinue EEGs at study completion.  

The NDA will work with a REEGT Remote LTM Analyst via a secure remote connection to ensure patients are set up properly and securely prior to the start of EEG testing. The Remote REEGT will then run the EEG with assistance from the NDA who will perform in-person patient tasks and remove all electrodes at study completion. 

Location: NDAs must be available to arrive at multiple Children’s Hospital of Atlanta (CHOA) hospital locations within 90 minutes of a new request while on-call and arrive on time for pre-scheduled requests. Candidates must live within 1 hour of Scottish Rite, Egleston, and Hughes Spalding Hospitals. Ideal candidates reside in or around Atlanta

Scheduling: NDAs must be available for at least four 10-hour shifts (6:30a-4:30p) per week (Monday - Friday) and must maintain consistent availability.  

Pay rate: $20 hourly for scheduled on-site work. The pay rate varies for other duties while on-call.

Job Requirements: 

  • Must have prior patient care experience; hospital and pediatric experience preferred 

  • Must complete and maintain certification of Seizure First Aid Training 

  • Must have or complete and maintain CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association 

  • Must show proof of or receive up-to-date vaccinations, upon request (TB, MMR, Flu, COVID, Hep B, T-dap, and Varicella) 

  • Must be Nicotine/Cotinine free; per health system requirements 

  • Must show proof of high school transcript/diploma/GED 

  • Must have a reliable cell phone; upgradeable to company standards 

  • Must have reliable transportation 

  • Must complete all internal and facility-specific required credentialing and training 

  • Must be able to attend in-person training and shadowing for 2 weeks in August (dates TBD) and some additional full days for onsite orientation (date TBD).
