The Company: Next Gen Neuro is a Veteran and Women-owned nationwide EEG service provider. We are looking to hire and train Neurodiagnostic Assistants (NDA) to join our team in the Hartford, Connecticut area.

Location: NDAs must be available to arrive at multiple Hartford Healthcare Hospital locations within 90 minutes of a new request. Ideal candidates will reside in or around the following: Bridgeport, Meriden, New Haven, Middletown Southington, or Waterbury. 

The Position: We are looking for 1-2 per-diem healthcare professionals and/or allied health students with experience in the patient care setting. The role of a Next Gen Neuro NDA is to set up brainwave tests, or electroencephalograms (EEGs), on patients of all ages, fix EEG electrodes as needed, and discontinue EEG studies once the study is complete. The NDA will work with a Remote Registered EEG Technologist (REEGT) LTM Analyst via a secure remote internet connection to ensure patients are set up for their EEG study properly and securely prior to the start of EEG testing. The Remote REEGT will monitor the EEG with assistance from the NDA who will perform in-person patient tasks and remove all electrodes at study completion.

Scheduling: NDAs must be available for at least 2 twelve-hour on-call shifts (i.e. 7a-7p or 7p-7a) per week and must have at least 1 weekend day (Saturday-Sunday) per month of on-call availability. Below are the schedules that are available.

Pay rate: $150 per patient EEG setup. The pay rate varies for other duties.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have prior patient care experience; hospital experience preferred but not limited to neurological patient care
  • Must complete and maintain certification of Seizure First Aid Training through the Epilepsy Foundation
  • Must maintain consistent availability
  • Must have or complete and maintain CPR/BLS certification
  • Must show proof of or receive up-to-date vaccinations, upon request
  • Must show proof of annual Influenza shot
  • Must show proof of or receive COVID-19 vaccination (Moderna or Pfizer) and booster
  • Must show proof of high school transcript/diploma/GED
  • Must have a reliable cell phone
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must complete all internal and facility-specific required credentialing and training
  • Must be able to attend in-person training for 2 consecutive days in (dates TBD) and some additional full days for onsite orientation
