We are seeking an Advertising Sales Account Executive to effectively sell our suite of advertising products, including email marketing, editorial content, and onsite advertising. This role will be instrumental in building and maintaining a sales pipeline, identifying and cultivating new partnerships, and maximizing revenue opportunities.

 

The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of media sales and demonstrate a proven track record of success in prospecting new business, achieving high conversion rates, and renewing existing accounts. Key responsibilities include establishing and nurturing relationships with decision-makers, creating marketing plans tailored to client's needs, and closing deals within short sales cycles.

 

Candidates should have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly establish rapport and build trust with clients. Strong negotiation skills and a results-driven mindset are essential for success in this role.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Proactively build and grow a pipeline of sales targets by prospecting new sales leads, leveraging existing relationships, and cold calling/emailing.

  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to closing deals across new and existing client base.

  • Create, maintain, and present customized, client-ready materials including industry research, competitive analysis, and Smarter Travels offerings to drive business goals.

  • Independently manage time, and resources to maximize the number of sales calls.

  • Develop and cultivate strong relationships with clients, brands, and agencies.

  • Work cross-functionally with account management to ensure successful campaign execution.

  • Execute timely responses to all RFPs with the highest level of customer service, understanding client’s marketing objectives.

  • Be willing to attend client meetings, conferences, and industry events.

  • Achieve and exceed advertising revenue goals to drive growth and expand client base.

 

Who You Are 

  • 3-5 years of digital media sales experience, bonus if candidate can bring in established connections. 

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Experience meeting and exceeding goals by launching and managing paid digital advertising campaigns.

  • Understanding of the digital media landscape.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.

  • Prior experience with day-to-day relationship management.

  • Ability to work individually and collaboratively to sell and execute media campaigns.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. 

  • Proficient with Google Workspace, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word.

  • Demonstrate strong presentation skills.

  • Self-starter with a drive to succeed.

  • Willing to travel on an as-needed basis.
