Job Summary:
We are looking for a Product Manager to join the Travel products and services team and take on a pivotal role in shaping the future of our travel product. You will report into our Director of Product to develop and actualize the launch of new product features that ensure we provide personalized experiences to our customers. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where you will work closely with key members across our internal team to ideate, project- and product-manage, and execute initiatives related to our Travel products. You will represent the needs of both our external Travel partners and empower our Traffic team to continue to grow our Travel business. You will be an expert in understanding the needs of our customers and serve as a champion for their viewpoints. You’ll work with engineering, customer service, and operations teams to continually deliver value to our customers.
This role will work from our Cambridge office.
Responsibilities:
· Product Management and Ownership: Drive key initiatives within travel products and services. Define product features and specifications in clear product requirement documents. Collaborate closely with engineering teams to build and scale new features.
· Customer-Centric Approach: Conduct user interviews to gain deep insights into the needs and preferences of our customers. Serve as a relentless advocate, ensuring that the company solves problems in a customer-centric manner.
· Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize internal data and customer feedback collected through interviews and surveys to inform product decisions and roadmap. Analyze raw data sets to derive key insights and transform complex findings into actionable business insights. Apply your expertise in experimentation to drive effective and meaningful experiments within the organization.
· Stakeholder Management: Work with internal and external stakeholders to enhance our Travel product. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and requirements. Negotiate trade-offs between competing stakeholder interests. Clearly communicate the product vision and strategy. Provide regular updates on project status to manage expectations.
· Prioritization: Effectively prioritize feature requirements using prioritization frameworks to maximize outcomes. Strategically prioritize your team's efforts to achieve defined objectives.
Preferred Experience:
· 2+ years of experience in a Product Management role - preferably in a fast-movingp environment.
· Bachelor's Degree preferable in a quantitative discipline (engineering, computer science, econometrics, statistics or related).
· You have a proactive, entrepreneurial, get-stuff-done mindset and are not afraid to take measured risks when the data shows that it makes sense.
· You are exceptional at delivering products small and large on time and with few bugs, navigating options to deal with bumps in the road, achieving outcomes, and assisting product execution across multiple engineering teams.
· Enough technical know-how to engage with engineers about architecture and technical considerations that impact a platform, and a desire to learn what you don’t know to help drive decision-making.
· You’re detail-oriented and can write clear and detailed product requirements and specs with use cases.
· You have the aptitude to dive into sets of raw data to draw key insights that can be used to drive business outcomes. You can summarize intricate data insights into clear business outcomes and insights and can effectively communicate this to stakeholders to drive decisions.
Nice to Have:
· Worked on consumer-facing or Travel product with an understanding of product-building areas including engineering, design, analytics, and user research/insights.
· Knowledge of backend/infrastructure systems specifically what it takes to support an online travel agency. You can communicate and explain technical ideas to those that may not fully grasp those areas.
Salary Range:
$125,000 - 155,000 + equity
