Position Description:

Newfish, Inc is seeking candidates for Infrastructure Engineer to be located remotely within the United States. This position is fully remote for now but NYC-based once we reopen our offices later in the year. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining GCP infrastructure components across the organization.

 

Specific Responsibilities/Duties:

• Author reusable infrastructure components using Terraform modules
• Collaborate and own how our infrastructure scales and improves over time
• Ensure security principles are applied to each infrastructure change
• Use your experience to review and make improvements to proposed infrastructure changes
• Support team members across the organization in using Google Cloud Platform according to best practices

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements: 

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform
• Advanced proficiency with a general-purpose programming language like Python
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, collecting requirements and interfacing with other teams
• Broad knowledge and application of healthy code practices and CI/CD paradigms with Git
• Experience with Terraform
