Our mission is to spread DMARC everywhere. We offer superior tooling, educational resources, and expert support—but at our core, we’re people helping other people understand and protect a vital asset, their email domains. Staying focused on our mission means we’re constantly improving by learning from the challenges that everyone faces while deploying DMARC.

The Product Development and Service Delivery teams build, maintain, and utilize dmarcian’s DMARC solution to solve customer problems, as well as grow the overall DMARC ecosystem. A major component in the process is dmarcian’s Source classification system—which translates large data sets into readable metrics.

As a Source Analyst, you’ll identify, discover, maintain and work with Sources to authenticate compliancy (Certified Sender Alliance, etc.), recognize unique capabilities, and promote DMARC interoperability. A “Source” is what we call any company that offers its clients the ability to send emails with their own domain (i.e.— any infrastructure that’s capable of sending emails on behalf of others.) You will act as our master research and cataloger of sources. You’ll scan raw email traffic reports to identify undocumented sources and translate broader data trends to relevant internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Build and oversee the categorization processes and rules that are core to identifying and classifying dmarcian’s Sources based on feedback and support needs

  • Advocate for and act as the primary point of contact for Sources, including in relationship-building and support needs

  • Collaborate with the Product Development team to extend and advance our Source classification system

  • Work closely with the Marketing circle to publish accurate technical documentation and facilitate ecosystem evolution

Who We’re Looking For

  • You’re willing to learn (or have familiarity with) internet networking infrastructures (ASNs, IPs, netblocks, DNS, etc.)

  • You have experience as an analyst using various tools such as SQL, and Excel formulas

  • You have exceptional communication skills—are resourceful, adaptable, and highly organized.

  • You’re motivated to learn about all things DMARC and related technologies.

  • You’re detail-oriented, with the ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks through a high volume of concurrent projects, while operating asynchronously.

  • You resonate with our culture and values and have an eagerness to be actively involved in cultivating and refining our practices accordingly. We believe in empathy and patience for clients and coworkers, having a positive outlook, and the capacity to acknowledge and resolve problems.

  • A strong preference will be given to those with experience in cybersecurity, the email ecosystem, DNS and domain management

Role Objectives

  • Demonstrate clear, organized management procedures for Sources and Source-facing relationships and have ideas for improvement

  • Collaborate across circles to initiate and complete classification engine refinements and advancements

  • Broaden the accessibility, image and ecosystem of Sources at dmarcian
