Full Stack Software Engineer (Remote)

Parler is seeking an experienced and diversified Full Stack Software Engineer to join the team. We’re looking for a special person to join us as we look to develop new features, develop/build/bundle performance optimizations, resolve bugs, and write unit tests for our web application. You will be part of a growing software engineering team with members of all levels of experience, giving you an opportunity to share your knowledge and experience while contributing to a worthwhile project. Here are some things you can look forward to doing at Parler:

  • Contribute to the complete software development process from conception to deployment

  • Maintain and upgrade the software following deployment

  • Manage the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications

  • Oversee and guide the analysis, writing, building, and deployment of software

Skillz we are looking for:

  • Front-end technology: Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery and LESS

  • Development languages: Knowledge of server-side programming languages including PHP, Net, Java, Ruby and Python

  • Database and cache: Familiarity with RDBMS technology, familiarity with RDMBS such as MySQL, SQLServer, Oracle as well as NoSQL Databases such as MongoDB and Couchbase  and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached and Varnish

  • Basic design ability: Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design

  • Server: Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux or other UNIX variant

  • DevOps: competence using technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker/containerization, Ansible, or Puppet, as well as being comfortable with classic SysAdmin tasks

  • Dev Process: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, following change processes, ticketing, as well as being ardent documentor and communicator
