Great Western Building Systems is in the process of moving its manufacturing plant to Grand Junction and we are looking to expand our team. We need journeyman welders.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawing and prints to determine the specific welding requirements. 
• Produce fabricated steel products in a timely manner while maintaining a high quality of workmanship.
• Must read and understand weld prints and symbols. Perform welding functions with limited supervision

Qualifications

• Proficient skills in stick welding
• Previous metal building experience preferred
• Other manufacturing experience acceptable
• Detail focused
• Learns Quickly
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands to handle, tools, reach with arms, and talk and hear in a noisy environment.
• Must be able to kneel, stoop, or crouch.
• Needs to be able to regularly lift and move 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and move objects weighting as much as 100 lbs.

The work environment is primarily indoors and will at times be exposed to natural weather elements such as heat, cold, sunlight, darkness, wind, rain, lightning, snow and dust. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
