Position

Great Western Buildings is looking for an experienced Metal Building Design Engineer to join our engineering and drafting departments.

This is an in-person job - but can be remote during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Responsibilities

• Input and Verify Contract Specification Using "Metal Building Software"
• Designing and Pre-Engineering of Steel Buildings
• Review of Contract Documents
• Occasional Drafting
• Assisting all departments associated with GWB Design Criteria and Standards
• Administering the MBS software
• Verification of Code and Lode Inputs
• Prepare MBS files/projects for detailing
• Provide Project Specific Instructions to Detailer
• Submitting Engineering Files to P.E. for Review and Approval
• Coordinating Drafting and Engineering Departments

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering or related work experience
• Comprehensive Knowledge of Metal Building Software
• Proficiency with AutoCAD

• 4+ Years of Pre-Engineered Steel Building Experience
• Skillful with problem solving
