Position Summary

The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) Support Coordinator is a part-time, hybrid position, responsible for DEI support services on campus while also supporting the career-focused mission of the institution and the overall goal of increasing retention and graduation rates. The Coordinator will work with other members of the Student Affairs team to offer support services, facilitate student success, foster a campus community, and develop ethically- and socially-aware citizens.

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain a current and comprehensive network of support resources in the surrounding communities, especially Boston and Taunton.
  • Consult with faculty, staff, administrators, parents, and outside resources as necessary in relation to individual student concerns, as well as issues and trends across campus, nationally, and internationally.
  • Collaborate with other departments on campus, including Admissions and Academics, to develop more effective ways of identifying and referring students in need.
  • Coordinate training for faculty and staff on DEI support concerns, including information on compliance with pertinent laws and regulations.
  • Monitor trends on the campus, regional, and national levels; provide recommendations to the Director of Student Affairs and other key stakeholders regarding programs and services to better support our students’ needs.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Director of Student Affairs.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree Preferred
  • 3-5 years of professional experience is preferred.
  • Experience working with students, preference to direct higher education support experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Work collaboratively in a diverse, inclusive, and student-centered environment, and with students of various learning styles, cultures, identities, and life experiences.
  • Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality (FERPA).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Bilingual language is a plus.


Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Stooping. Bending body downward and forward.

Supervisory Responsibility: None   

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office conditions.
  • Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels.
  • Work involves the operation of computer equipment and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions, as necessary.
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day. May require travel to other locations occasionally.
  • Please note, this is a hybrid position. Some remote work, while being able to visit and support the student needs at the Boston and Taunton Campuses as needed.
