Position Title: Program Assistant (Multiple Positions Available)
Location: 31 St. James Avenue, 2nd Floor | Boston, MA 02116                                       
Hours per Week: 10 Hours Per Week  
Days/Times Required: M-F, Times vary based on availability   

Job Description/Responsibilities
  • Assist with department sponsored events such as hosting pop-up tables, general set up and clean up, handling event logistics, etc.
  • Work with the department to build engaging programming model
  • Engage with students/staff/faculty and provide excellent customer service to all who approach events and office
  • Assist with taking pictures of events and community to build social media presence
  • Serve as a positive representative of the college and as a resource to students
  • Contribute content for the Bay State Beat Newsletter and website (Images, Blog Posts, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Department of Student Affairs

 

Skills/Qualifications Sought:

  • Positive and helpful attitude who enjoys working with people
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of campus resources and services offered at Bay State College
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • BSC student who qualifies for Federal Work Study


Working Conditions:

Normal office conditions. Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves the operation of computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions, as necessary.
