Department: Esports Program

Job Description:

Prepares and runs the Twitch channel for the Bay State Esports program. Ensure that the stream runs smoothly and moderate the chat when needed.

What they do:

  • Learn how to stream from one of the production PCs in the Esports program
  • Make changes to stream labs during live broadcasts
  • Think quickly when solving video quality, stream, or chat issues
  • Teach other students about the set up on how to stream and host tournaments
  • Answer any student questions about Esports and/or the streaming process
  • Provide demonstrations to students on process of streaming and accessing Twitch
  • Work with the Esports Director or Assistant Director to plan each stream prior to going live
  • Edit videos, streams and other content for our social media pages for students to see the events and tournaments
  • Perform other duties assigned

Skills/Qualifications Sought:

  • Must be a currently enrolled at Bay State College
  • Must be in good academic and social standing with a maintained minimum GPA 2.5
  • An interest or basic understanding of computers and technology
  • Willingness to learn related technologies and how to stream the relevant programs


Working Conditions:

Normal office conditions. Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves the operation of computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions, as necessary.
