Department: Esports Program

Job Description:
Talk over the individual matches played by the Bay State Esports teams including. This can include play-by-play and color casting.

What they do:

  • Talk over matches played by the esports teams
  • Learn about the individual games and how to cast
  • Create storylines between teams and schools
  • Read prepared scripts for sponsors, events, or other related topics
  • Teach other students about the set up on how to stream and host tournaments
  • Answer any student questions about Esports
  • Provide demonstrations to students on the process of streaming
  • Report to the Assistant Director of Esports about basic job duties
  • Perform other duties assigned

Skills/Qualifications Sought:

  • Must be a currently enrolled at Bay State College
  • Must be in good academic and social standing with a maintained minimum GPA 2.5
  • Ability to learn basics of games played by the esports teams
  • Willingness to understand basic audiological needs when streaming
  • Comfortable having their face on camera for extended periods of time


Working Conditions:

Normal office conditions. Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves the operation of computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions, as necessary.
