Department: Esports Program

Job Description:

Work with the shoutcasters, video production assistants and other hosts to facilitate storylines, facts, and deliver prewritten scripts for each of the Bay State Esports streams. The host will also oversee helping program the weekend “wrap-shows,” for the esports program.

What they do:

  • Work with the video production assistants to facilitate transitions between scenes while streaming
  • Work with the shout casters to facilitate discussion post matches and talk about what happened in each game
  • Work with the Assistant Director of Esports to create a weekend show that discusses what happened each week for the esports teams
  • Interview guests/students during live broadcasts and hold conversations with the guests/students and other casters
  • Teach other students about the set up on how to stream and host tournaments
  • Answer any student questions about Esports
  • Provide demonstrations to students on the process
  • Perform other duties assigned


Skills/Qualifications Sought:

  • Must be a currently enrolled at Bay State College
  • Must be in good academic and social standing with a maintained minimum GPA 2.5
  • Ability to speak clearly and be on camera for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work closely with others and develop entertaining material

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Understanding of StreamLabs, Discord and/or OBS
  • Understanding of professional casting in esports or traditional sports
