TITLE:                  Shipping and Receiving Clerk

REPORTS TO:               Sr. Buyer Planner

SYNOPSIS OF POSITION:

SUMMARY: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk performs inventory transactions, issues material/components for work orders to the manufacturing area, credit returns, and process incoming/outgoing shipments in the ERP inventory system. Duties related to function including but not limited to:

• Responsible for inventory accuracy, stock replenishment, movement and disposition stock.

• Interface with various members of manufacturing operations and management in regards to inventory reports and product status.

• Responsible for working semi-independently, be flexible, able to juggle priorities depending on volume and time frame requirements daily. • Provide data processing support for facility as needed. • Able to multi-task in an efficient, accurate, and timely basis.

• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to other employees and management as required.

• Work closely with all functional departments to ensure paperwork/documentation is completed properly.

• Participate in internal compliance program-related activities as required by Supervisor, Compliance and/or Sr. Staff.

• Will perform inventory and cycle counts as directed by Supervisor/Manager and/or Sr. Staff.

• Additional duties as assigned.

• Job entails the frequent manipulation of small-scale components. Corrected vision (eyeglasses and/or contact lenses) may be needed to perform the job responsibilities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or GED (Technical diploma preferred).

• At least 2 years of warehousing and inventory management experience (preferably in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry). • Knowledgeable of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), QSR, and ISO Certification requirements.

• Basic computer skills needed (preferably in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word)

• Available for Shift Work as business needs (1st, 2nd & 3rd)

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Forklift operation certification/license.

• Experience working in a Cleanroom or Laboratory work environment

• Experience with ERP / Inventory Systems (SAP, JDE, Oracle, etc.)

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
