Temporary Full-Time Marketing Lead

Work Schedule: 30 hours, Monday – Friday 
Project-Based: 5 Months (with opportunity to extend) 

The mission of the MPN Research Foundation is to stimulate original research in pursuit of new treatments — and eventually a cure — for the blood cancers polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia, and myelofibrosis, known collectively as myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN). A 20+ year old foundation with a lean team of (12?) positioned to grow our impact, is seeking a temporary Marketing Lead to help execute key marketing initiatives that support our mission.  

Job Summary 

The Marketing Lead will drive content creation, campaign execution, and brand messaging across digital channels, ensuring engagement with patients, researchers, and donors. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to execution timelines, and the ability to produce high-quality marketing materials. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (social media, email, digital). 

  • Manage content creation across social media, newsletters, and website updates. 

  • Oversee email marketing campaigns using Constant Contact, including audience segmentation and performance tracking. 

  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and platforms. 

  • Ensure marketing projects stay on schedule, meeting deadlines with precision. 

  • Analyze campaign performance, provide insights, and optimize strategies. 

  • Elevate social media strategy to help the foundation grow their follow base strategically. 

  • Create strong & effective visual content.  

  • Create & edit strong video content to include commercial and reel short-clip content to drive engagement.  

  • Collaborate with internal teams on fundraising and awareness initiatives. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Education and Experience Requirements 

  • 3+ years of marketing experience, preferably in nonprofit, healthcare, or scientific research sectors. 

  • Proven experience as a content creator across digital platforms. 

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Proficiency in the Following Tools & Platforms: 

  • Design & Content Creation: Canva, Adobe Creative Suite 

  • Email Marketing & CRM: Constant Contact 

  • Project Management & Collaboration: MS 365, Monday.com 

  • Social Media & Analytics: MetriCool, Facebook, LinkedIn, BlueSky, and other emerging platforms 

  • Digital Marketing & Paid Media: Google Ads, Meta Ads, Non-profit Megaphone 

Compensation & Benefits 

  • Hourly Rate: $30 per hour 

  • Fully remote role with a flexible work environment
