ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Sales Operations Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting Roland’s strategic growth initiatives. You will partner directly with the Sales team across all customer channels by providing key data, creating customer facing sales presentations, and delivering detailed customer specific analysis enabling high impact customer engagements. This role will also have exposure to all Roland functions and learn the end-to-end mechanics of the business and will work cross-functionally across all departments to deliver meaningful insights. Strong communication is a must for this role as there will be many opportunities to engage with all levels of the organization including senior leadership. This role is perfect for anyone who is interested in how data can support the sales process. The ideal candidate will have a customer service mindset and a willingness to take on new challenges and opportunities. The role sits within the sales team and will report to the Director of Sales & Operations.

As a response to the pandemic, Roland Foods office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to telework on Monday and Friday each week. Due to the collaborative, cross-functional nature of the organization, employees at the NY and NJ offices are required to work in-person for the abovementioned days, outside of any People & Culture-approved disability accommodation request.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the sales team by compiling and reviewing sales data and creating reports as requested to include customer business reviews, product void matrix, lost product placement reports, sales forecasting, and other ad hoc reports
  • Utilize Salesforce, Tableau, and SharePoint to build analytical tools that draw meaningful conclusions and develop sales strategy and best practice recommendations
  • Review sales data to help identify sales patterns and areas for opportunity and communicate recommendations to the regional territory sales teams & other internal stakeholders
  • Support the Sales Directors though the yearly budget process and aid in the creation of the total company budget; work closely with the sales team to review the budget and create forecasts
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments such as Customer Experience, Revenue Management and Finance to complete sales data request customer-specific
  • Develop customer specific presentations that the regional territory sales teams can utilize during customer meetings; create presentation templates that can be utilized for all sales team presentations
  • Analyze key market data and create trends analysis to create strategic sales initiatives
  • Participate in strategic initiatives such as international extra value service tracking and metric reporting

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience as a Sales Analyst
  • Strong proficiency in excel required
  • Experience with CRM platforms like salesforce and Data Management platforms like Tableau required
  • Strong presentation and communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill, identify takeaways, and make recommendations
  • Previous experience assisting with budgeting planning and forecast creation
