ABOUT THE ROLE

This position reports to the Senior Director of Technology and serves as the team lead for the Infrastructure and IT service team. The role ensures proper ongoing support of server infrastructure, network, and cloud services throughout the system life cycle. The Information Technology (IT) Manager will ensure that changes and upgrades to these systems are properly planned and executed following standard procedures. This position will also develop and maintain policies and runbooks for the team, plan and deploys solutions to enhance IT services within the business. The engineer works collaboratively with business teams to ensure the consistent availability of IT services.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configure, administer, and maintain virtualization environments in VMWare and Azure.
  • Monitor and manage both on-premises and cloud-based services and systems.
  • Administer backend office systems, including but not limited to Domain Names, DHCP, file servers, database servers, Sharepoint servers, etc.
  • Ensure security compliance through regular assessments and remediation.
  • Ensure monitoring and uptime of all supported services consumed by the business and DevOps teams.
  • Understand and manage backups and disaster recovery procedures for IT services, databases, and applications.
  • Conduct routine patching and upkeep of IT systems.
  • Execute IT operations in compliance with ITIL processes.
  • Support and guide the ServiceDesk in resolving problems to minimize impact to business users.
  • Manage basic administration of network devices, firewalls, and network utility systems
  • Monitor and support security applications and tools, including detection, response, mitigation, and reporting of cybersecurity threats.
  • Manage the technology vendor relationships and service levels.
  • Automate and improve existing processes and systems through scripting, automation, and toolsets.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment to deliver on-time results.
  • Create and maintain technical support documents and project plans.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 5+ years as a Systems/Network Engineer
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Deep operational knowledge of Windows servers, workstations, Active Directory / Exchange administration and configuration, managing Office 365 hosted services.
  • Experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows Server Active Directory, Azure AD, MFA services.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange email services, anti-phishing, and DNS management
  • Experience of storage appliances, backups, disaster recovery, Azure/AWS cloud environments
  • Experience with administration of VoIP services, WebEx calling, MS Teams, or similar services.
  • Working knowledge of network devices and setups with VLANs, switches, firewalls, VPNs, etc.
  • Ability to administer Cisco switches and basic firewalls as well as good understating of Cisco IOS, VLANs, routing, etc. is a plus.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal English communication skills, along with excellent presentation skills.
