Albert Uster Imports, Inc. (“AUI”) is a privately held gourmet food company headquartered in the Washington, DC area (Gaithersburg, MD) with warehouse locations in Kansas City, Las Vegas, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Gaithersburg. ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a dynamic, problem-solving IT Support Specialist. This will be a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for their next challenge in the IT/Helpdesk world, who has a passion for food and loves working in collaborative dynamic environments. We’re a small team, so we need to wear many hats. Please note, this is not a remote position.


As a response to the pandemic, Albert Uster Imports office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Monday through Wednesday, with the option to telework on Thursday and Friday each week. Due to the collaborative, cross-functional nature of the organization, employees at the Gaithersburg office are required to work in-person for the abovementioned days, outside of any People & Culture-approved disability accommodation request.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide end user and infrastructure support
  • Document technical issues and escalate to other IT teams as necessary
  • Monitor and assist in managing Virtual Server Environment (Hyper-V/Azure)
  • Support and maintain Active Directory (On-prem and Azure), DHCP, DNS
  • Support collaboration services on Office 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Conduct routine patching of servers
  • Automate IT processes using PowerShell and other scripting languages


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 3 years in an IT support role
  • Ability to write IT documentation and user manuals
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • Experience and knowledge of supporting Windows operating systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Hyper-V
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages and PowerShell
  • Experience with cloud services is a plus (Azure, O365)
  • Familiarity with MS SQL server or other database systems is a plus
