ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Marketing Manager at Roland Foods will have full ownership of the marketing function, leading trade & consumer marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness & business growth. It’s an exciting time for the Manger to join, as Roland Foods is in the process of doing a branding overhaul and looking for ways to further invest in building the Roland brand. The Manager will have the opportunity to ‘think big’ and drive the strategic direction of the Marketing function. This role is ideal for a person with strong marketing experience in CPG/Grocery who is looking to lead marketing with significant autonomy. The Manager will operate at multiple levels, from developing and budgeting for the strategic marketing roadmap, to executing social and email campaigns. To be successful in the role, the person must be willing to do the day-to-day tactical work alongside the strategic planning. The day-to-day work will be the execution of consumer and trade marketing campaigns, partnering closely with Sales and Creative to develop content. The role will also oversee external partnerships & sponsorships with Roland’s community partners. This position will sit in Roland’s Strategy team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Commercial Strategy & Analytics.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:


• Own the medium-long-term marketing roadmap, developing the vision for activities we need to start, stop or continue doing; create budget to support those activities

• Own and manage Roland Foods trade marketing activities:

  • Partner with Sales across each Roland business channel: Foodservice, Retail, Industrial and International to understand their marketing needs
  • Develop content in partnership with Creative/Design to provide each channel what is needed to support their business; examples include product/category sell sheets or presentations, food show marketing collateral, retail brand activation events


• Own the Roland Foods recipe content and partner with culinary team to create, curate & publish recipe content across all relevant platforms

• Own and manage Roland Foods consumer marketing activities:

  • Develop & maintain the master content calendar for web, social, email and eCommerce channels
  • Build out and execute Roland Foods influencer marketing strategy to support all channels of business 
  • Enrich the organization's knowledge of the consumer, identify category and consumer trends as part of Roland Foods re-branding initiative
  • Measure and report out marketing campaign performance (e.g. reach, engagement) via metric-driven analytics

• Own and manage Roland Foods external sponsorships & partnerships:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with our external community partners
  • Manage sponsorship agreements and oversee decision-making surrounding external events/engagements


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a focus in Marketing or related field
  • 4-5 years of experience in a Marketing, Brand Management, PR, or Communications capacity; experience in CPG/FMCG and Retail strongly preferred
  • Strong grammar & written communication skills, with exceptional storytelling and the ability to adopt the voice of our business across various platforms
  • Organized & detail-oriented with ability to leverage data to identify insights and translate them to marketing efforts
  • Knowledge of performance measurement & marketing/analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Later.com) preferred
