ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a detail-orientated EDI Manager with a solid IT background. The role will manage the company’s EDI system and order flows into ERP in a Microsoft AX/D365; experienced in onboarding customers and partners. EDI Manager will also be working with the internal teams, managing EDI onboarding activities, and ERP integration enhancements. Working with the EDI vendors and internal teams to coordinate test activities with trading partners and 3rd party certification providers, debugging, validation and go-live activities. This position is based out of our Manhattan, NY office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take ownership of EDI operations and projects, serving as the primary contact for EDI.

• Analyze and resolve EDI operational problems collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and warehouse personnel.

• Support and troubleshoot business processes and data related to all EDI.

• Manage to revenue cycle project timelines. • Complete testing and data validation tasks based on project deadlines.

• Develop EDI document and field mapping specifications. • Coordinate with trading partners on boarding activities and enhancement requirements, testing and go-live coordination.

• Set up and maintain communication profiles with Trading Partners such as VAN, AS2, set.

• Act as the point of contact for all EDI activities. • Participates in project definition, milestones, and overall project timelines, then manages EDI team activities to meet set deadlines.

• Responsible for establishing documentation standards for EDI team and ensuring that documentation is generated according to set standards. Additionally, must ensure that EDI documentation is kept current and relevant at all times.


QUALIFICATIONS 

• 5 or more years of full revenue cycle EDI management experience required.

• Deep experience with following EDI documents: 810/880, 850/875, 856, 864, 940, 945, preferably in the food imports/wholesale industry.

• Working knowledge of communication platforms/tools such as Lexicom, Inovis, AS2, VANs.

• Experience with generating, processing, and transforming XML documents.

• Experience coordinating with customers during setup testing and implementation phases of EDI deployment.

• Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Ability to research, analyze and resolve EDI issues as required.

• Ability to present ideas clearly and succinctly in a business environment.

• Highly self-motivated and directed.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

• Strong customer service orientation. • Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment.

• Minimum of 2+ years client-facing technical experience in the ERP, EDI, or eCommerce space.

• Minimum of 2 years EDI mapping experience.

• Strong familiarity with ERP systems and process flows. • Minimum of 2 years SQL experience.

• High energy, "can-do" attitude with a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.

• Proven ability to read and understand EDI data formats and structures such as X12, EDIFACT, XML, flat files, etc.
