Role Description:
Roland Foods is excited and committed to growing our retail brand. We are seeking an experienced and motivated sales professional to join our team. The Regional Sales Manager will be a key leader in expanding distribution with retailers and distributors across the Western United States. This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to secure new business, develop customer-specific strategies, leadership with our brokerage partner, and use of syndicated data to create fact-based presentations to drive positive results. This position will report to the Senior Director Retail Sales.

Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and grow product portfolio across Grocery/Natural retailers and distributors in the Western US, focusing on large regional chains and independents.
Manage broker partner through facilitating sales execution, setting distribution goals, and conducting regular business reviews.
Deliver category reviews across multiple buyer desks to promote and advance the Roland Foods portfolio.
Maintain accurate and timely forecasts for volume and trade spending
Identify and pursue quick wins for retail sales including spot buy opportunities
Own relationship with key accounts
Work closely with internal team to deliver incredible customer service and facilitate communication with assigned key retailers
Ensure strong execution of new product resets, promotions, and secondary placements
Collaborate internally working closely cross-functionally with our Strategy, Finance, and Supply Chain functions
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
3-5+ years of relevant sales experience in CPG industry required
Self-starter
Prior experience with owning a major customer account preferred
Demonstrated ability to sell into and manage multiple distribution channels
Demonstrated ability to achieve breakthrough results, and overcoming barriers and roadblocks as necessary
Ability to negotiate
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Passionate and curious about international food & cuisines
Ability to comprehend and manage a complex business/portfolio
Ability to make an impact with limited resources
Experience with distributor partners preferred
Experience managing a broker partner
40-60% travel time (Post COVID)
