SIS is currently looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This position will play an integral role in the growth and organizational strength of our company. The Inventory Control Specialist will manage the ordering process (from quote to purchase) for the company’s parts inventory, machine shop supplies, loaner pool, and certified pre-owned inventory.  The Inventory Control Specialist must be extremely organized and detail-oriented in monitoring stock levels. They will develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors. They must have the ability to understand and interpret complex situations, evaluate problems, and make appropriate recommendations. They must be able to successfully work across all levels of the organization. 

Essential Job Functions:
  • Closely manage parts inventory and reordering process, including conducting regular inventory reviews to maintain appropriate stock levels 
  • Ensure security and organization of parts inventory room(s) and distribute parts as needed
  • Receive parts order requests from technicians, process, and deliver in a timely manner
  • Manage SIS loaner pool and certified pre-owned inventory
  • Work closely with the VP Technical Operations to accurately identify pricing, instruments and vendors
  • Communicate effectively with vendors via email and phone
  • Verification and inspection of incoming parts, instruments and other surgical devices
  • Organize and keep current inventory records and documentation
  • Knowledgeable in and adhere to Company’s ISO goals and objectives
  • Assist where needed, from beginning to end of daily workflow process
  • Identify areas of improvement and offer solutions

Competencies: 
  • 1 – 2 years of inventory management experience
  • Comfortable with computers and inventory programs
  • Ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills – not afraid to ask questions 
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Highly motivated and self-directed
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Aptitude for problem solving and identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently, with a positive attitude
  • Capable of standing/being on feet majority of the day
