Team: Landscape Architecture 

Greenprint Partners (B Corp) is seeking a dynamic student who will bring a positive attitude and collaborative spirit to fill the 2026 summer internship position. The internship will be up to 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from May 18 to August 14, 2026, with flexible start and end dates based on the school schedule. Greenprint is a women/minority-owned, interdisciplinary firm dedicated to delivering sustainable infrastructure that drives lasting environmental and social impact. Through our integrated practice areas — landscape architecture, civil engineering, planning and engagement, and program management — we’ve helped clients transform vision into reality for 11 years and counting. As a Landscape Intern, you’ll support the design team and gain basic knowledge and skills in a variety of project phases and typologies. This position reports to our Associate / Landscape Architect project managers. Key Responsibilities 

This position will assist project teams in each of the following areas: 

  • Communication: effectively communicate with team members ensuring efficient project execution. Demonstrating respect for client and team 

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members, providing input and insight to design and construction challenges 

  • Site Analysis & Surveying: Support basic site analysis and research tasks 

  • Concept Design: Assist with developing conceptual designs, visual aids and rendered presentation graphics 

  • Project Documentation: Assist with preparation of design development and construction drawings/documents, (grading plans, planting plans, layout plans and technical details) 

  • Site Work: Assist in planting layout and documentation tasks.  

Desired Experience and Characteristics 

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelors or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture advancing to their second through final year of study. 

  • Previous internship experience preferred 

  • Team-oriented, with strong communication and organizational skills 

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and 3D modeling in Rhino and Sketchup 

  • Personal experience and interest in planting design is preferred 

  • Strong design, rendering, and graphic communication skills 

  • Ability to communicate effectively both in person and when working remotely 

  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging 

Compensation 

The internship is a paid position with an hourly rate of $23.00. This position is not eligible for benefits, paid holidays, or relocation costs. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time. 

This position will be based out of the Chicago Loop office where there is a hybrid work week, including 2 days in office and 3 days remotely. If an intern chooses to work in the office and remotely, then the intern must have a reliable remote internet connection. A laptop computer with all the required programs will be provided.
