POSITION TITLE: SENIOR DATA ENGINEER - DATA INTELLIGENCE

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Solve math, business, and/or technology problem
- Expertise working with all kinds of data including enterprise, digital, marketing, economic, and open-end research responses in a collaborative environment
- Lead the development of approach(es) for storing, blending, accessing, and presenting
- Lead a team on projects, mentoring and assisting junior team members in identifying and removing roadblocks in daily work
- Reliable as subject matter expert and act as consultant in preparing proposals
- Process large data sets and develop workflow automations (Alteryx, etc.)
- Use data analytics software (SQL, SAS, R, etc.) to clean and organize large data sets to be used in analyses
- Develop metadata tables and related database structures to support design and implementation
- Develop reports and dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio, etc.) and provide analytic insights to cross-discipline stakeholders
- Conduct fuzzy matching, data standardization, and data appends to structure and augment data for use in analysis
- Use web scraping to create additional data sets (e.g., via Python)
- Train junior team members on new technologies or techniques to provide added value to our clients
- Data environment and visualization requirements gathering
- Process documentation
- Acquire data from primary and secondary data sources, and maintain databases and data analysis systems
- Work with cross-discipline teams to investigate discrepancies across multiple data sources
- API development and management
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Perform ad hoc analysis to answer unique and challenging business questions
- Adapt and learn to help answer the question at hand in the best way possible
- Effectively present analytical methods and results to internal stakeholders and clients with varying levels of technical expertise

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field of study.
- 4 years of combined professional experience in data management, data manipulation, marketing analytics, and data visualization;
- 4 years of experience using SQL skills, including development of stored procedures;
- 4 years of combined experience using relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, and cloud-enabled data lakes), including SQL, ETL and/or Data Warehouse solutions in a business environment with large-scale, complex data sets;
- 4 years of combined experience in data manipulation and automation testing using each of the following tools: Python, Alteryx, SSIS, and API development;
- 4 years of combined experience that includes each of the following common marketing analytics techniques: media mix models, multivariate testing, A/B testing, segmentation, and attribution algorithms;
- 4 years of experience using one of the following data visualization products: Tableau, Power BI, or Data Studio;
- 4 years of experience managing multiple projects in a fast paced environment;
- 4 years of experience working both independently and in a team structure to address and discuss methodology, results, and recommendations;
- 4 years of experience presenting findings and recommendations in technical and non-technical terms to internal senior management and teams;
- 4 years of experience identifying problems and creating solutions; and
- 4 years of experience working independently navigating business challenges, developing, and applying solutions.
- Work from home available. Must reside within the United States.
- Requires up to 10% domestic travel.
- Experience may be gained concurrently.
The salary range for this role is $120,400 - $130,000.
