WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join our Analytics Engineering team. This individual must have deep technical experience in digital analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics. You will lead the implementation of digital analytics platforms, server-side tracking, and other advanced analytics solutions.
Since our Analytics Engineering team sits at the forefront of an ever-evolving digital landscape, we're seeking someone with a passion for identifying and learning new technologies and tools. We gravitate toward candidates who are equal parts left-brained and right-brained. You should have a demonstrated history of coming up with creative solutions to complex technical challenges and should get energy from working in highly collaborative environments where success is dependent on effectively working alongside others. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead large-scale, high-visibility client-facing projects
- Lead and manage digital analytics implementations involving:
- Digital Analytics Platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc)
- Tag Management Systems (GTM, Launch, TealiumIQ, Ensighten, etc)
- Customer Data Platforms (AEP, Tealium, Segment, mParticle, etc)
- Consent Management Tools (OneTrust, TrustArc, Crownpeak/Evidon, etc)
- The ever-growing list of vendor tools in the MarTech Stack
- Mentor and support teammates in their growth and development
- Proactive in learning and educating others regarding new technologies and trends such as Server-side tagging and Customer Data Platforms
- Architect and develop platform agnostic dataLayers
- Work closely with clients to understand and define business requirements as well as ensure that the data being collected meets their measurement objectives
- Work alongside Drumline's teams, including Strategy, Insights, and Architecture, to take business requirements and effectively translate them into functional solutions
WHAT SKILLS YOU BRING
- 5+ years of digital analytics experience with a focus on implementation, architecture, and data quality
- 5+ years of experience in one or more tag management systems - Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager, Ensighten, or Tealium
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and comfort interacting directly with clients
- Expertise communicating complex technical subjects to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience leading end-to-end web analytics implementation, particularly Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics (Universal Analytics and GA4)
- Expert understanding of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML and CSS
- Extensive experience with designing, architecting, and validating dataLayers
- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Deep experience reading, interpreting and creating technical implementation documentation
EXTRA CREDIT
- Experience working in Customer Data Platforms
- Experience implementing Server-side tagging
- Experience implementing digital analytics for mobile Adobe Web SDK, Firebase, and GA4
- Strong understanding of Single Page applications - HTML5, Angular, and React frameworks
- Experience using APIs with digital analytics tools
- Solid understanding of cookie-based privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) impact client's ability to capture data and the tools and strategies to help them avoid breaking them
- Adobe Certified Expert in one or more Adobe Experience Cloud tools
- Python or other coding language experience
- Knowledge of content management systems such as WordPress, AEM, Shopify, etc.
- Comfortable in a scrum environment
