WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a Senior Account Manager who shares our passion for data, analysis, learning, and continuous improvement. The role of Account Management is to lead and guide our collective efforts to meet the needs of our clients. We take business problems – from simple to complex – and frame them within the context of analytic solutions. Then we collaborate with our team of analysts and our clients to build the plans and oversee the work, from start to finish, in an effort to solve those problems. This requires juggling multiple projects at once while managing scope and budgets throughout the process. Our goal as a team is to balance delivery excellence with client delight.
Like all team members, this person must be incredibly curious, empathetic, sincere, hardworking, and a problem-solver. Drumline requires a healthy balance between thinking and doing, being detail-oriented and thinking outside-the-box. Our clients’ needs are constantly evolving, and our charter is to help them move forward. This role is the common thread between clients and internal teams, and keeps all aspects of our work moving forward.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead accounts to develop , manage, and strengthen (not just maintain) client relationships - be seen as the primary point of contact for escalations and opportunities, and manages up to leadership when needed
- Continuously earn client trust by delivering value and exceeding expectations (driving positive return on investment in the client’s mind). Is skilled at merchandising work to client and internal teams to showcase Drumline value.
- Proactively contribute ideas for improvement of the Analytic Solutions team, Quadratic, and our collective work and is willing to form an opinion and help provide perspective when others share ideas
- Knows when to initiate and contribute to thought leadership, annual account planning, staffing plans, POV development, and strategic recommendations/roadmaps
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support for junior members of the team and across Drumline
- Maintain advanced understanding of the client’s business situation, industry, and competitors. Share learnings with broader teams.
- Initiate, coordinate, and oversee all work done on behalf of the client, which includes providing teams with timely information and support and anticipating and removing roadblocks with little leadership oversight.
- Showcases project management skills by leading meetings, creating project plans, sending follow ups/action items and using project management tools to track work in real time across delivery teams
- Ability to work with and manage day-to-day communication with all levels of management, clients, partner/vendor teams, and colleagues. Fearless in handling difficult conversations, providing feedback and setting expectations.
- Consistently demonstrate ability to identify new opportunities that contribute to organically growing client business
- Full ownership and management of account P&Ls, invoicing, reconciliations, and projections. Strategically influences the billing process and navigates complex billing scenarios.
- Drives small to large project scoping and proposal development independently, plays a critical role in annual planning for accounts
- Assist in new business development and manages transitions of new business to include changes in scope, budget and client expectations
- Consistently identify when we need to pivot our work based on client needs and align the team on a new strategy, when necessary, and independently guide the team in doing so
- Actively listen and help the client evaluate tradeoffs between decisions they need to make, leading the team to offer clear recommendations to make decision making easier for the client
- Ability to confidently provide informed recommendations and points of view to clients, and consistently can capture feedback so Drumline can evolve perspectives
