Our client is seeking candidates with Information Technology Project Management experience to help support a dynamic Manufacturing business. The position is a long-term contract opportunity and will require a variety of skills including project management, strong communications, and efficient time management capabilities. The successful candidate will be willing to grow and adapt with the role to help the client achieve their business goals. The role is remote but may involve some travel if not located near the client site in Northern Ohio.
Responsibilities:
- Run multiple IT projects simultaneously
- Track and escalate project related issues and risks
- Provide regular status reports on project health
- Serve as advocate and SME for the PMO process
- Follow-up with project staff to ensure deadlines and commitments are kept
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years IT project management experience
- Independent worker capable of running multiple IT projects with minimal direction
- Efficient time management to stay ahead of deadlines and ensure on time deliverables
- Ability to communicate and tailor messages to an appropriate level
- Produce reports and other project and PMO related documentation
- Strong customer service orientation
- Prior management / leadership experience of small teams
- Ability to multi-task and keep track of multiple simultaneous priorities
- Basic familiarity with IT technologies and office computing
- Eagerness to learn new skills and grow with the team
- Access to reliable transportation
- Access to high-speed Internet and/or mobile hotspot for remote workers
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in a relevant IT discipline
- One or more relevant IT certifications (PMP, ITIL, Agile, etc.)
- 5+ years prior experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Manufacturing IT experience a definite plus
- Preference given to candidates willing to work an Eastern time zone schedule regardless of physical location
