Position Summary

Summary:
Reporting directly to the SVP, General Counsel & Secretary, the VP of Human Resources will play a critical role in setting up the infrastructure needed to hire and retain great talent, create an outstanding place to work and shape the future success of Adela as it scales from start-up to enterprise.  An HR leader experienced with generating ideas, setting strategy, outline risks and implement plans and advisor to the company’s leadership.

 

Responsibilities:

      Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HR functions, including Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Performance Management.

      Educate, advise, and influence on organizational design, employee development, employee engagement and retention.

      Conduct regular, proactive meetings with managers and leaders to develop, assess and anticipate HR related needs.

      Prioritize Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging in recruiting, hiring, and employee development.

      Maintain in-depth knowledge of employment law matters related to day-to-day management of employees, ensuring regulatory compliance.

      Partner with CEO, Legal and Finance to develop and manage a competitive compensation program through market analysis, design pay, and equity structures that integrate with performance review cycles and employee progression.

      Develop and continually manage and refine scalable processes to improve the employee experience and ensure ongoing competitiveness.

      Mediate employee relations and performance issues and provide counsel on appropriate methods for resolution ensuring that employees are treated with respect and integrity.

      Provide insight into creating and maintaining a robust, competitive employee benefits program to ensure benefits meet employee’s needs.

      Interact with vendors and external partners to create and maintain relationships and negotiate contracts on occasion.

 

Education:

      Bachelor Degree.

      Professional Certification preferred

10+ years 

Knowledge & Skills:

      Proven experience in a senior HR role with fast-growing international company.

      Knowledge of HR compliance in all areas of HR.

      Highly organized and able to meet task timelines to realize overall project outcomes.

      Proven ability to work cross functionally on complex projects in support of corporate deliverables.

      Ability to function effectively both as an individual contributor to perform tasks at hand as well as build and lead a highly productive team.

      Ability to work both tactically and strategically.

      Demonstrated proficiency in strategic HR planning and change management.

      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

      Proven leadership abilities, high EQ and interpersonal skills to effectively interface and collaborate with all levels and functions within the organization.

      Strong negotiation skills, striking a balance between being flexible and driving results with aggressive timelines.

      Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; can handle multiple high priority projects simultaneously.

      Creates an environment that encourages and rewards teamwork, collaboration and encourages employee engagement.
