About the opportunity:
If you are passionate about making a difference, we are looking for a Controller. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, international accounting functions, general ledger and managing the accounting team. This position reports to the Senior Director, Finance and Accounting.
Where you will make an impact:
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability and professional development.
- Manage cash forecasts and support efforts of cost containment and cash optimization.
- Ensure that the company maintains strong financial and non-financial controls, and that it leverages information technology in the accumulation, analysis, interpretation and distribution of financial information. Provide strong leadership in the maintenance of internal controls.
- Continuously improve accounting systems and procedures, ensuring that accounting records provide accurate and timely information in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and in compliance with federal, state and international tax jurisdictions.
- Critically examine and, as appropriate, enhance workflows and processes within the accounting function to ensure best practices are implemented.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks and develop strategies to minimize potential losses.
- Coordinate and interface with external tax partners to ensure compliance with all appropriate corporate tax requirements in federal, state and international tax jurisdictions. Manage processes for tax preparation, reporting and exemptions.
- Coordinate and interface with insurance broker to maintain appropriate levels of insurance coverage for the Company.
- Provide support with the preparation of presentations and analyses for the corporate board and other major meetings.
- Support the development and implementation of the annual business plan.
What you will bring:
- 7+ years of overall accounting and finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
- Ability to supervise and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and resolve accounting issues, and to develop solutions to financial challenges.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and other financial tools.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial matters.

- If local to West Chester, PA, remote and in-office work days.
- Will consider remote candidates.
- 10% travel as needed
