ADAY is looking for a sharp individual to run our product forecasting. You will be responsible to analyse and forecast our product demand to determine the optimal inventory levels and makeup to deliver on our revenue and profit goals. You will build spreadsheets, utilize a variety of data sources and determine the best metrics to perform forecasts and always improve accuracy. Within this role, you will work within Finance and Product and work with ADAY’s production manager and designers to ensure we deliver the right product at optimal quantities at the right time. You will report to ADAY’s co-founder and take responsibility for our product spend and inventory strategy. You will prepare Board materials and closely collaborate cross-functionally including Marketing and Operations. 

In a “typical” week, you will use our sales, supply chain and inventory data to build models and tools to assess future demand and supply. You will perform ad-hoc analysis and share product data and strategy recommendations with the rest of the team. You will perform pricing and COGS analysis, optimize spend and actively manage the inventory.

In a “typical” month, you will perform in-depth analysis and forecast performance. Moreover, you will build strategies for agile planning and collaborate closely with the production team on purchase orders and supplier strategies. You will contribute to investor communication and run new projects.

In a “typical” quarter, you will initiate and see-through long-term planning initiatives, initiate and run new projects aimed at efficiency, margins or growth and lead inventory strategy. You will assess performance, predict product demand and set targets. You will also create materials for quarterly Board of Directors meetings.

That being said, no role in a start-up is ever typical which means that your role will continue to evolve as our company does too!

The ideal candidate has 1+ years experience in a forecasting, inventory management, or demand planning role. Your attention to detail is unparalleled - you are quick to notice and address discrepancies or anomalies. We don’t expect you to know all the answers but we do expect you to be open-minded, adaptable and willing to learn.

We are open to different experience levels as long as the candidate has excellent analytical skills, strong experience with financial modeling, loves complex data problems, is fluent in excel and is excited to be a part of a mission-driven team creating a better future. Moreover, we admire individuals who are not afraid to take the initiative or speak up when they have ideas!
