The responsibilities of a Quality Control Technician are to assist the quality team in guaranteeing the quality of products and services, and to assist in the process of preparing all product certificates of analysis. Duties may require interpreting results, using various inspection and metrology tools and software, and participating in troubleshooting and failure investigations. Employees must have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team environment. This position will participate in the continuous improvement of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspection and testing of incoming, in-process, and outgoing materials for conformance to design and configuration requirements

• Set up test apparatus and conduct tests of production assemblies and units following Test Method Instructions, Standard Operation Procedures, and Testing Criteria/Specifications.

• Perform a variety of tasks including setting up test equipment, performing QC tests using variety of metrology equipment, visual and microscopic inspection, data compiling and reporting, equipment calibration and maintenance, part cleanings.

• Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components as defined by predetermined Test Plans and Test Instructions.

• Use hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties.

• May monitor and verify quality following statistical processes or other control procedures.

• Review batch results, compile and generate a certificate of analysis.

• Follow up with the appropriate channels when mistakes are found.

• Communicate with other team members to solve problems.

• Participate in continuous process improvement efforts and priorities set by Manager and Team Leaders.

• Understand and follow appropriate protocols of Safety procedures and Department-specific SOPs and ISO protocols

• Work may change from day-to-day within reasonable and expected boundaries

• Follow guidelines and comply with all company safety, quality, and training procedures and regulations

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager or Team Leaders

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma and 5 years of related experience.

• Experience setting up and conducting Quality Control testing of Engineering and Production assemblies and units following methods, procedures, standards, and sequences as determined by Test Instructions.

• Read, comprehend, and follow: Test instructions, Test Plans, assembly instructions, and Operating Procedures.

  • Thoroughness, reliability, and persistence in completing tasks; Consistency and accuracy in measurements; Adaptability with changes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of related experience conducting Quality Control testing of Engineering and sequences.

  • Strong experience with Metrology equipment and Microscopes (SEM is a plus)

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and must be able to conduct complex experiments following guidance from a senior engineer.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work as a team player in a multi-functional environment.

• Proficient in using computers & software programs such as MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Explorer, etc.
