Additive Manufacturing Technician (Day Shift/Swing Shift)

The responsibility of a technician is to assist the engineering team in guaranteeing the quality of products built on the hardware during the development, qualification, and scaling.   

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily operations to produce developmental, qualification, and flight hardware in electrode manufacturing.
  • Collaborate closely with process and product engineering teams to refine processes and enhance product designs.
  • Participate in configuring and operating our advanced electrode manufacturing processes.
  • Support the production and quality inspection process under the guidance of engineers and managers.
  • Maintain equipment functionality, ensuring timely scheduling of maintenance activities as required.
  • Adapt to working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and uphold the cleanliness of the work area.
  • Validate the quality of components and materials utilized within the production process.
  • Effectively manage the inventory of parts and tools essential for the process.
  • Complete daily reports and updates, documenting activities comprehensively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent technical certification in a relevant field (e.g., Materials Science, Engineering, Manufacturing).
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience working in an R&D or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and protocols with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in recording and documenting experimental data accurately.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to contribute to troubleshooting efforts.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices in a laboratory setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work as a team player in a multi-functional environment.
  • Must be proficient in using computers & software programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer, etc.

 

Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred:

  • Powder handling, testing, and processing.
  • Battery manufacturing equipment operation.
  • Handling and testing of battery materials and components.
