Job Summary

The Sales Director, MEA keeps Okeanos’ revenue engine running through their own skill and the leadership of a team of the MEA region. The MEA Sales Director has in-depth knowledge of and experience with the sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals.

The MEA Sales Director participates in a team-selling environment, assuming ownership of relationships across customers, prospects, and partners within the assigned geographic territory. The MEA Sales Director drives the development and execution of territory, account, and opportunity plans leading to the success of the company.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability.
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts. 
  • Develop, implement, and monitor best practices for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) maintenance, configuration, development, testing, data integrity, etc.
  • Analyze CRM performance and take action to correct deficiencies.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Formulates and executes sales and business development strategies for new and existing customers.
  • Manages key resources, as well as, the broker/distributor relationships as necessary.
  • Represents Okeanos, with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings
  • Researches consumer needs and identifies how our solutions meet them
  • Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance.
  • Continuously develop personal leadership, hiring, and training skills while ensuring the team is using effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives.
  • Generate leads, and build and nurture client relationships
  • Directly represents the company to current and prospective customers, effectively visiting these customers on a monthly or quarterly basis as needed via personal visits, trade shows, plant visits, phone calls, and emails
  • Builds sales volume in a profitable manner in the respective territory
  • Conveys technical messages that leverage the company’s unique capabilities and satisfy customer needs
  • Prospects for and uncover new sales opportunities that align with company capabilities
  • Comply and verify the application of the provisions of the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation applicable to the concerned sector.
  • Evaluate the processes applicable to the related area, to detect opportunities for improvement

Job Qualifications

  • Education:  Bachelor and/or Master's Degree, or equivalent in Business or related field
  • Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience in running sales teams
  • Language: English (Native or B2) and the main regional language.

Technical Skills

  • At least 3 years of successful sales management experience in the plastic, environmental, and/or brand industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts and resolve complex pre-sales technical problems.

Management Skills

  • Strong business acumen and leadership abilities
  • Experience presenting complex technical concepts to customers through presentations, demonstrations, and proposals.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 CRM is a plus
  • Expertise in analysis, critical decision-making, project management, and process improvement.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including proficiency in developing and delivering presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and solve practical problems.
