Senior API Developer

Zartico is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Senior API Developer to join our team! As a Developer, you will be responsible for supporting our software development team in all aspects of the development, testing and implementation of our product.

What You’ll Do

Efficiently manage SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring high availability and consistency
Design and optimize database schemas to support scalable and performant microservices, maintaining data integrity and standards
Design, develop, and implement highly efficient, scalable, and secure APIs
Build and document microservices that have well-defined interfaces
Utilize cloud platforms (GCP and/or AWS) for deploying, monitoring, and managing APIs and microservices
Work closely with Product, Data Engineering and Data Science to enrich product’s functionality
Detailed code reviews and thorough pull request approvals
Codebase testing and refactoring
Team mentorship and leadership
Advisory on new technologies and methodologies

What You’ll Bring

At least 7 years of experience in API development and microservices architectures
Expert knowledge of Java, Go, Python, Node, Ruby, or other backend languages
Strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database systems
API related tooling, dependency management, etc.
Experience with GCP, AWS, or other cloud hosting providers
Minimum of 5 experience in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, etc.
Experience in unit testing and automation
Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and other containerization and orchestration technologies is a plus
Fluency in Git
Documentation and testing tools such Swagger, Apidog, Postman, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly developed attention to detail
Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong analytical mindset
Ability to lead and educate less senior members
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education and Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related
Google Cloud Certification or similar
