Technical Project Manager

As a Technical Project Manager, you will combine technical expertise with project management skills to lead technical teams and manage data-focused projects.  Your primary responsibilities are to create project plans, provide project updates, work with technical project teams, and ensure that there is tracking and visibility across the work. The position will utilize both agile and waterfall best practices to ensure that the work is planned, stays on track, and effective artifacts are produced. This role will require an in-depth understanding of project structure, including phase gates, stakeholder updates, and capacity planning. 

What You’ll Do:  

  • Join the PMO to and play a crucial role in providing leadership and oversight throughout various projects within the company.

  • Assume responsibility for developing and maintaining project plans, setting concrete deadlines, and ensuring successful project execution.

  • Clearly define each step of the project and establish concrete deadlines for milestones and deliverables.

  • Utilize technical skills to help project teams estimate their work and identify blockers.  

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including tasks, milestone dates, status updates, and resource allocation.

  • Assemble project teams, assign tasks, and provide direction to team members.

  • Facilitate problem-solving and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.

  • Coordinate with all levels of employees, including upper management, department heads, and staff members.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project objectives and organizational goals.

 

What you’ll bring:

Primary Technologies Required:

  • Thorough understanding of  Project Management and CRM Management systems

  • Project Management and Process Documentation skills

  • Reporting and Dashboard Creation

  • Data affinity 

  • Code fluency

  • Proficient with standard office productivity tools including GSuite, project management software, etc…

Education, Experience, and Mindset Needed:

  • BA/BS in a quantitative, tourism & hospitality, business management or marketing field

  • Ability to manage up, down, and across with an entrepreneurial mindset

  • Exemplary presentation skills and relationship skills both in-person and in-virtual settings

  • Passion for asking strategic questions to find the path to understanding

  • Ability to use data-led insights to create a compelling storyline

  • Quick learner and ability to work in a fast-paced environment - we face new challenges every day.  Be nimble and pivot quickly

  • Think creatively and analytically to solve ambiguous problems with clarity and simplicity
