Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Satellite Communications Technician for our Kapolei, Hawaii location. This is an on-site position.

Responsibilities

• • Install and maintain satellite communications systems at all of HPT locations.
  • Diagnose simple to complex problems on RF, IF and baseband systems
  • Replace or repair equipment as required, using proper established procedures.
  • Open, update and close both customer and internal trouble tickets
  • Work with new and existing customers to configure required equipment.
  • Research vendors and acquire quotes for hardware and software.
  • Be proficient in the use of most test equipment and able to learn how to use if necessary.
  • Learn the teleport infrastructure and connectivity.
  • Know all RF LO frequencies and frequency translations.
  • Be able to create and modify drawings in Visio.
  • Provide support to sales opportunities as required.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
  • Employee must be able to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications 

• • Bachelor or Associates degree, military training, technical school training or a combination of experience and technical training, equivalent to 3 years required

  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products - Word, Teams and Excel.
