What is ZeeMee?

ZeeMee is a social platform where prospective and current college students are encouraged to express their truest selves, develop relationships, and establish inclusive communities centered around specific colleges, hobbies, causes, or identities. It also does double-duty as an innovative engagement tool that over 100 colleges and universities (including UC Berkeley, USC, Smith, and University of Washington) use to recruit and retain incoming students.

Your responsibilities will include...

Working with our CEO to define a product vision and strategy that will delight our users and deliver on business objectives

Spearheading discovery efforts to identify students’ social needs as well as our college partners’ enrollment needs and leading our Product Designer and Engineers to find the solutions for them

Pitching ideas to the Leadership team, communicating which metrics will inform the efficacy of new features, and driving consensus around their urgency and importance

Drumming up enthusiasm, urgency, and a sense of purpose across the company as you make progress against, and continually add to, the product roadmap

Driving product development by crafting tickets, prioritizing them, leading stand-ups, and completing user-acceptance testing

Completing and sharing post-launch feature analyses, and bringing the voices of our users to our company for continual improvement and motivation

Communicating new feature releases via in-app product marketing efforts, newsletters, and partner meetings

We’re looking for someone with...

A positive attitude who is very comfortable asking for help and self-directing from there

Demonstrable empathy for high school and college-aged students

An interest in social discovery/dating/community building (previous experience is a plus!)

A basic sense of mobile design principles and curiosity for UI and interaction design

Experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master and sincerely enjoys being part of a development team

The ability to break big initiatives into smaller more manageable chunks and the discipline to measure the outcome of each release

Great verbal and written communication skills that will be leveraged to articulate product intent and detailed requirements
