Through our mobile app, students can see what college is really like, chat with others to get honest answers to their questions, and find friends and mentors to support them through their journey. The role:
We're looking for an iOS engineer with at least 5 years of experience to join our team. This role is a great opportunity to work on a team that iterates quickly and is obsessed with the needs of our students. You will have a lot of ownership of the product and will be able to make an immediate and drastic impact.
Responsibilities:
Analyze product feature requirements and provide feedback on user experience and feasibility.
Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code to deliver features on iOS
Take ownership of the iOS code and propose improvements.
Be a mentor for other iOS engineers
Bring product and code improvement ideas to the team
Resolve production issues in a timely manner
Participate in code review process
Work within an agile environment and contribute to sprint deliverables including design, coding, review, testing tasks.
Communicate with other teams (including those outside of engineering) to resolve technical and operational issues.
What we’re looking for:
Must have:
5+ years of experience building iOS native applications.
Experience building apps from scratch
2+ years of experience with Swift
1+ years of experience with Objective-C
Experience building mobile apps integrated with Web backend APIs
Experience building UI and animations using native components.
Experience with popular libraries, frameworks, and services like CocoaPods, Core Data, and Crashlytics.
Enjoy collaborating with an experienced team to innovate in both product and engineering decisions
Care strongly about developing amazing user experiences.

Experience working with remote team members
