*This is a part time, temporary position from July 8, 2024-August 10, 2024*

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Maintenance Technician to join our team. This crucial role involves participating in various maintenance and repair tasks, as well as assisting in the efficiency of our community's maintenance program.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Performs service requests for general carpentry, masonry, painting, heat, and air conditioning projects, electrical and plumbing, as well as appliance repair and installation. 

  • Maintaining the proper appearance of the community’s interiors, exteriors, and grounds. 

  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, such as plumbing leaks, electrical issues, or other critical situations.  

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance activities.  

  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace malfunctioning appliances in rental units as needed.  

  • Keep track of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment. Report when supplies need replenishing.  

  • Ensuring that all service requests are completed. 

  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with managing maintenance inventory. 

  • General record keeping as required. 

Qualifications:  

  • 2+ years’ experience in maintenance or engineering; related degree or certification is a plus.  

  • HVAC certification required. 

  • CPO Required. 

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to attend meetings, events, and daily activities. 

  • Excellent customer service, communication, organization, management, and people skills. 

Physical Demands:  

  • Ability to walk, stand and sit frequently.  

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing 50-100 pounds.  

  • May require some travel. Must have a valid driver's license.  

  • Ability to work in various environments as assigned.
