The Elevate Prize Foundation is a global non-profit that empowers social entrepreneurs and activists by providing them with the resources they need to amplify their mission and further their impact. The Elevate Prize  team——stewards resources and builds relationships around the world to increase that impact.  

 

Through tailored programming and a trust-based approach, we build strong relationships with each winner. We provide tools and support focused on building greater visibility for their work and also to strengthen their organization. In order to do that more effectively we are creating a new role to guide and advise Elevate Prize winners on organizational growth.  

 

The Elevate Prize is itself four years old and we are excited to add a team member with deep organizational growth experience into our high growth, high impact efforts.  We are a small team who is already having outsized impact and this new role will deepen our capacity to serve our Elevate Prize leaders.  

 

Overview

The Management Advisor works within a team to support the work of Elevate Prize winners - social entrepreneurs who receive funding and support from the Elevate Prize Foundation. Consultative in nature, the ideal candidate is experienced in building and scaling impact-driven organizations in all facets, who can mentor Elevate Prize winners facing unique challenges as they grow their organizations.  

 

The Management Advisor’s role will focus on supporting Elevate Prize winners through coaching, operations support, program development, and partner identification. This role will also play an internal role in the organization, helping to select each cohort of Elevate Prize winners, inform our program offerings, and track and report on the impact of our investments.

 

We are looking for a senior leader to help us launch and build out the full scope and responsibilities of this new role. Depending on the role's success, there is potential to convert the role to a full-time position.

 

This position reports to the Program Director.

 

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Program team to vet and select Elevate Prize winners

  • Build and sustain relationships and trust with Prize winners and their organizations

  • Serve as a thought partner with Prize winners and their leadership teams on a range of operational and programmatic issues

  • Collaborate with Prize winners to strengthen overall program management strategy, operations and organizational structure

  • Support Prize winners to create and refine growth strategies including vetting potential partners and/or investors

  • Support Prize winners in building a sustainable financial strategy, aligning financial goals throughout the organization

  • Communicate with Foundation leadership team on Prize winner needs to help achieve their goals and establish a plan for deploying Foundation resources effectively

  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Requirements & Skills

  • 10+ years as a founder, CEO/Executive Director, or in leadership in a consultative, program management role; ideally a combination of nonprofit and for-profit

  • Experience working directly as a coach/mentor to build processes across multiple departments utilizing successful entrepreneurial experience to create solutions.

  • Ability to work with and strengthen small teams that are growing and may not yet be fully formed and deliver results

  • Exceptional organizational skills with effective prioritization while managing multiple projects

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent at building lasting relationships with high emotional intelligence

  • Highly collaborative and execution focused; ability to influence and have a fast impact is imperative

  • In-depth knowledge of successful start-up processes 

  • Experience building and strengthening financial systems

  • Master of creativity and an inventive entrepreneurial spirit

  • Strong advisory capability
