HealthRight seeks a hands-on, full-time Financial Analyst to help manage the financial functions of the organization, including coordination and preparation of accounting reporting and administration of cash management and investing activities. This position reports to the CFO and interfaces with colleagues across the organization’s departments in both the U.S. and abroad.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate monthly closings and complete timely monthly reforecasts and analysis.
• Maintain controls over transactions in the general ledger.
• Provide direction and assistance to regional financial staff.
• Help prepare annual budgets.
• Collaborate with programming colleagues on grant applications and budgets.
• Monitor financial requirements on existing grants to ensure compliance.
• Process accounts payable to ensure the accurate and timely disbursement of funds.
• Process the collection of accounts receivable, including grant funding.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations ensuring that adjustments are properly recorded in the G/L.
• Serve as liaison with independent auditor, insurance brokers, funding sources, banks, and vendors.
• Help prepare year-end workpapers for auditors and help coordinate annual audit.
• Supervise payroll for staff and contractors.
Requirements:
• 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major.
• At least 3 years of experience in the finance and accounting or related professional area, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
• Must have experience with QuickBooks.
• Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills required.
• Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
