Calviri is an early-stage healthcare company building an exceptional immuno-oncology research team. We are seeking highly motivated scientists to join the company’s forward-thinking efforts in developing both diagnostic and vaccine products against cancer.

Our mission is to provide a broad spectrum of fundamentally different diagnostics and vaccines that either treat early-stage cancer or prevent it from starting. Calviri is focused on using frameshift neoantigens derived from errors in RNA synthesis and processing to provide these pioneering products for both humans and companion animals. In this research position, overarching responsibilities will the execution and documentation of a variety of molecular biology and immunological assays. Some are conventional, while other non-conventional ones have been developed inhouse. Candidates with demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills will be favored. A successful candidate will show attention to detail, good time management, and excellent communication skills.

Job responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Carrying out procedures required to assay and analyze our custom high-density peptide arrays, including chemistry preparation steps, sample preparations, antibody assays, use of data extraction software and transfers to our data management system
  • Conducting basic molecular biology experiments and immune response assays, including DNA and RNA processing, PCR, ELISA, Western blot
  • Documenting all assays and experiments conducted
  • Participating in team and company meetings

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year research experience in research and/or clinical laboratory settings
  • Experience in cell and/or molecular biology techniques and immunological assays
  • Basic math, quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to critically review information, understand new concepts and execute new experimental approaches with minimal assistance

Education:

  • BS in the biological or cellular sciences or related disciplines such as molecular biology or immunology
