This is a temporary position. The contractor should promise at least 10 working hours per week.

Position requirements

  1. BS in Biology, Chemistry, or similar field with technical laboratory experience with 2 years in industry setting.
  2. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, carrying out different priorities concurrently with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Detail-oriented, with excellent written, communication, organization, and record-keeping skills.
  4. Capable of working both independently and in a collaborative environment.
  5. TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Equipment: PC, scanners, and e-mail systems, and common office machines, or ability to be trained.
  6. Knowledge of other equipment required: Familiarity with lab equipment (pipets, centrifuges, liquid handlers, microplate readers, etc.)
  7. Software Knowledge: Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Prism.                                                 

Position  statement      

  1. These may include but are not limited to: Manage all laboratory equipment including calibration and maintenance, service contracts, and space allocation.
  2. Maintain laboratory inventory, supply lists, and supply stocking. Manage all laboratory purchasing, shipping, and receiving; manage suppliers to purchase, schedule and log shipments. Create/maintain electronic documentation systems to log and track sample libraries, inventory, equipment, and space allocation in a timely and accurate manner.
  3. Prepare buffers/reagents, aliquoting, refilling, and restocking.  
  4. Coordinate with facilities operations team to manage lab equipment and safety requirements, hazmat program.
  5. Coordinate with IT to manage lab-related hardware, software, and server/system requirements.
  6. Prepare written reports, summaries, and standard operating procedures.
  7. Help PM, manage and update lab data.
