The Child Neurology Foundation (CNF) is a national non-profit that works to support the whole child neurology community. We are the only non-profit in the child neurology advocacy space that was by physicians, and to this day we have strong physician leadership on our Board of Directors. The Child Neurology Foundation connects partners from all areas of the child neurology community so those navigating the journey of disease diagnosis, management, and care have the ongoing support from those dedicated to treatments and cures.

CNF has been expanding steadily and is now seeking to dramatically accelerate this growth. We are looking for a Manager of Marketing to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky.

 

Position Summary


The Marketing Manager is an experienced and compelling storyteller who will partner with leaders across the organization, under the direction of the Director of Development, to develop and execute traditional, digital, and multimedia marketing and communications efforts. The ideal person will have healthcare experience and a deep understanding of successful marketing tactics to reach a wide variety of audiences. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for defining and managing the CNF brand; design and implementation of fundraising and outreach campaigns; oversight of the production of marketing collateral and materials, including managing external vendors; oversight of creative content and SEO (in conjunction with external firm) for the CNF website; creating, monitoring, and managing social media; and producing internal and external brand assets and communications as needed. This position will work closely with CNF’s external marketing and communications firm.

Essential Accountabilities

 

Marketing Strategy

·       Work with external marketing and communications consultant/agency on overarching strategy including PR, social media, brand awareness, and thought leadership

·       Develop, track, and report on marketing and communications data

·       Develop marketing department goals and key performance indicators

 

General Marketing & Communications

·       Write, create, and edit content for CNF website and email marketing efforts, including bi-monthly newsletter and blog

·       Develop and maintain communications editorial calendar for CNF staff use for web, email, and social media

·       Compiles stories, collects images, writes, and edits copy for print collateral

·       Manages project timelines from conception to publication

·       Manage CNF’s digital asset library

·       Responsible for all website content and ensuring information on the website is accurate and up to date

·       Contribute to corporate/partner engagement content development in collaboration with key staff

·       Develop and implement marketing campaigns

·       Oversee collateral for Board Ambassador Program (social media, decks, etc.)

·       Source and maintain relationships with external vendors as needed

·       Manages agency-wide branding guidelines and style guide

·       Monitor and evaluate email marketing and general search engine optimization

 

Social Media Management

·       Manage all aspects of CNF’s social media presence (CNF website, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube)

·       Drive strategy to increase daily engagement on CNF social media accounts

·       Develop content calendar and lead content creation for CNF’s social media, including written blog content, tweets, posts, and videos.

Qualifications


Education

·       Bachelors degree

 

Experience

·       At least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

·       Well-rounded marketer who wants a broad scope of ownership and is eager to make an impact

·       Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, MailChimp (or similar), Sales Force (or similar CRM), marketing automation systems, and other marketing software

·       Working knowledge of website management and WordPress

·       Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing plans

·       Strong creative skills: excellent communicator with an eye for design who can bring together a brand story through a variety of media

·       Strong multi-tasker and project manager with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

·       Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required

·       Excellent emotional intelligence

·       Ability to balance competing priorities while remaining flexible and creative

·       Self-starter who proactively brings new ideas to the table and finds a path to execution

·       Passion for philanthropic work and strong connection or passion for CNF’s mission

FLSA Classification: Exempt

Travel Requirements: Up to 10% travel

Location: Remote or Lexington, KY

Schedule: Occasional evenings and weekends required

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
