Position Overview:

San Francisco Bay University is seeking an Assistant Registrar for Distance Learning to oversee the day-to-day registrar operations of remote educational offerings to students residing in their country of origin. This is a full-time staff position, reporting to the Assistant Provost for International Programs, that offers an exciting opportunity to help transform higher education. The Assistant Registrar for Distance Learning will perform academic transcript evaluations, provide enrollment and academic reports, develop course curriculum templates with international universities, and serve as the primary records liaison for in-country international programs, domestic asynchronous programs, and as a Salesforce SIS super-user. This is a 12-month full-time, exempt, position renewable contingent upon performance review. Work location is on-site in Fremont, CA.

   

Responsibilities: 

  • Play a key role as SFBU delivers innovative, high-quality, student-centric education through 4+0, 3+1, dual-degree programming, and other asynchronous academic offerings.

  • Assist with the development and delivery of university-wide processes, standards, and ensure consistency and compliance.

  • Prepare regular administrative, enrollment, and academic reports.

  • Develop and maintain course equivalency catalogs between SFBU and international university partners. 

  • Complete transcript evaluations ensuring students seamless transition into SFBU coursework.

  • Manage transcript production and processing.

  • End-of-semester processing and coordination of associated communications to key stakeholders and students.

  • Review of degree applications, awarding of degrees, and distribution of diplomas.

  • Serve as the system administrator for international and distance learning programs in Salesforce SIS.

  • Additional duties as assigned. 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience in higher education database administration.

  • Proven ability to effectively navigate and optimize systems and processes to drive efficiency and support organizational goals.

  • Ability to use computer software applications and systems to sufficiently manage and query data and create reports.

  • Experience working with student records systems, degree auditing software, and other related software.

  • Adaptable to work in a changing, fast-paced environment and produce a high volume of work within established deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills, data literacy, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leaders, faculty, staff, colleagues, students, and international partners.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree.

  • Experience with SIS, Salesforce, and/or Canvas.

  • Experience in 4+0, 3+1, dual-degree programming, and other asynchronous academic offerings

 

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $85,000/ year, depending on experience. This is a 12-month contract, renewable contingent upon performance review.
