The SFBU Student Success Hub Assistant, who reports to the Career and Student Affairs Officer, will provide excellent customer service, administrative support, and assistance with event planning and execution. This role will be the first point of contact for students at the Student Success Hub to ensure smooth daily operations and enhance the student experience.

 

Primary responsibilities include:

 

  • Greet and welcome students, staff, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Ensure the Student Hub area is clean, organized, and welcoming.

  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate staff.

  • Support the Student Affairs department with administrative tasks

  • Assist in monitoring and replenishing supplies.

  • Conduct in-person and online peer reviews of career documents including resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn reviews. 

  • Assist in planning and executing Career Services and Student Life events including workshops, networking events, and student affairs programs.

  • Answer drop-in questions about Career Services resources and Handshake 

  • Serve as a student ambassador for Career Services and Student Life by promoting services to peers

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Currently enrolled and completed at least one term as a student at SFBU 

  • Excellent public speaking, organization, time management, teamwork, and written communication skills

  • Must possess customer service orientation, high level of professionalism, ability to follow procedures, and strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, both independently and collaboratively

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude; ability to serve as a role model and mentor to other students

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20lbs

Compensation: $17.30- 22.00
